AFSC Sketch - April 2013

The April Sketch at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge looks difficult, and we all know how deceiving looks can be.  I had a lot of fun creating this layout about my grandchildren and my Aunt In-law who passed away last week.

AFSC April 2013

This months first challenge at AFSC is to scrap your greatest challenge, and anyone who knows me will know that my greatest challenge has been learning to live without my loving husband.

My journaling reads:

"With my faith - Gods help and my family I know that I can meet the challenge - After a long and happy marriage, having to look to the future that doesn't have John.  Knowing that the plans we had made were not going to happen.  Having to learn to cook for one and make decisions on my own and not having anybody to share my burdens."

White With 1 - April 2013

This months challenge at White With 1 is to use White, Yellow and a particular Sketch.  This layout is my interpretation of the cahllenge, and it is of my only Granddaughter - Naomi-Jon.

Kraft It Up - April 2013

I have been busy creating this month, and haven't had a chance to share much yet.  So I will start with my layout for the April Kraft It Up Challenge, which is to use something recycled.  I have recycled some Prima package, obviously I go through a lot of that with my Prima obsession.

Once Upon A Sketch - March 2013

I created this layout for the March Once Upon A Sketch challenge, about Anzac Day a couple of years ago.  My daughter was born on Anzac Day, and we always spend time together commemorating the Anzac legend and her birthday.  I have shared in my journaling this special time of year for our family and its connection to our countries flag and identity, especially when it is on a weekend.
